A few weeks ago I received an email from a very enthusiastic bride to be. Her name was Shannon, and she lived in Las Vegas. I called her right away, and I knew the moment we talked that I wanted her as a client. She was very excited, however was overwhelmed with planning a wonderful elopement for her and Matthew to come to San Diego. They both work full-time, and as many of you know who are planning a wedding-everything takes more time than you would’ve thought. On top of that, they lived in another city (did I mention this was taking place in three weeks)….That being said, they were getting married and needed everything. Her list of what she wanted was an interesting one. She emailed me over that she wanted to have a photo shoot the day before the wedding (Old Town) that they could do some casual fun pictures. In addition they needed to get their marriage license, find a ceremony site, make dinner reservations at a romantic restaurant, get a photographer for the wedding day, arrange transportation for the wedding day, find the perfect hotel for the honeymoon night, find an officiate, order a bridal bouquet and boutonniere for the groom.  Some special requests were for some snacks for the mini bar in the honeymoon suite (chocolate dipped strawberries, bottled water, baked chips, Pale Ale for the groom, and an egg salad sandwich from Johnny Rockets). Hiring the vendors for me was easy. I try to surround myself with wonderful vendors that I can count on and that make my clients happy. We made Shannon a red bridal bouquet that had a little sparkle with roses and tulips, and a red rose boutonniere with bear grass for Matthew. The weather was perfect. 🙂 The ceremony was in La Jolla and the day went very smooth.  When I met Matthew and Shannon in Old Town the day before the ceremony, I was really happy to finally meet them in person. They were a delight. 🙂 :). They are so happily in love and were a pleasure to serve. It was very obvious how much they loved each other the entire time I was with them. On the wedding day, I arrived early to put glass vases all around the hotel suite with water red rose petals and floating candles. When we arrived at the ceremony area Shannon was beaming! You could not help but feel how much these two cared about each other. Shannon cried through most of the ceremony, it was very sweet. This day was significant; Not only was it their wedding day, this it was their third year anniversary and the beautiful bride’s birthday.
